Octoberpets

Octoberpets is the annual fund raiser for the Evergreen Animal Protection League. EAPL is a nonprofit which provides aid to lost and abandoned animals. The animals are placed in foster homes until adopted. EAPL also provides care for injured and sick animals. EAPL was founded in
1981 and has cared for over 8000 animals. They receive no tax monies and depend upon donations and the generosity of the community. Octoberpets has grown over the years and is now held at the ELKS' CLUB. Tables with silent auction items lined the banquet room and hallway. The event also includes food and music and is one of the best attended fundraisers.
If you want to live in the mountain community, I think it is a rule that you must have a dog and a cat. The Evergreen Animal Protection League has wonderful animals in need of homes. They also need donations and volunteers. Please visit their website http://www.eapl.com/
