Saturday night was the wake for The Wild Eye Gallery, formerly located in the Heart of Evergreen. Local artists, business owners, members of the Evergreen Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Business Association, and high school friends gathered at the Stagecoach Sports Grill to pay their respects and toast Dennis and Joan Dunn. It is so vital to the future of our community to support our local businesses. I know when you work in Denver it is easy to shop in the malls, but the impact on Evergreen is reflected in the empty store fronts. Both the Chamber and the Downtown Business Association are open to what you as a consumer want from the local businesses. They cannot communicate your needs to the businesses if you do not tell them. Investing in and sustaining our quality of community is easy, tell us what you want and please shop locally.
