Friday afternoon was a time for the Board of Directors and the Ambassadors of the Evergreen Area Chamber of Commerce to get together in a casual atmosphere. We all interact at the Mixers and other events but at those times our focus is on insuring that the guests are having a good time, are networking, and everything is going smoothly. This was also a time of special thanks to Melanie Nuchols by the Chamber Board of Directors. And what better way to thank her than with gift certificates for a boutique and for the Bistro at Marshdale. The Ambassadors extended their appreciation to Betsy Hays. She is most businesses first contact with the Chamber and she explains the benefits and advantages of being a member. John Ellis presented her with a gift certificate to Tuscany Tavern and to Rio Del Sol. Both restaurants have supported the Chamber by donating food to the Info Mixer. We try to give back to the businesses that are Chamber members and always Shop Local. The Chamber is more than a Chamber of Commerce it is a Chamber of the Community.
After a few glasses of wine John Ellis was elected the Mayor of Evergreen by an unanimous vote.
