Bring your leashed or safely contained furry, feathered, scaly or slimy friends to celebrate the Feast of St. Francis and ask God's blessing on all His creatures, great and small. The Blessings of the Beasties will take place Saturday, October 2 in the Chow Down parking lot in Bergen Village (1260 Bergen Parkway) Evergreen.Father Patrick Dorn will do the blessing. I had the pleasure of sitting next to Father Patrick at Octoberpets. He is with the Church of the Apostles (Anglican), bible based, sacramenta-Liturgical, and Spirit-filled community.

Father Patrick embodies the spirit of joy and giving. I regret that the pictures of him, his family and friends disappeared into my computer's blackhole and I cannot retrieve them.
