Evergreen has lost businesses in the past two years and the entire business community has been impacted by the economy.
The community has become determined and is aggressively pulling together to create a healthier business atmosphere. Every month the Evergreen Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes new members. The Chamber is pursuing innovative and productive ways of promoting and sustaining local businesses. The staff and the Ambassadors are dedicated to insuring the members utilize the opportunities the Chamber offers. New members (all members are welcomed) receive an introduction to the benefits and marketing avenues available through the Chambers. New members are introduced to their Ambassador, their "go to person". If you have been a Chamber member for years or decades, I suggest you get a "mini update" on everything the Chamber has to offer. We have moved into a marketing and advertising arena that is foreign to the older generations of businesses. The Chamber has moved into social media networking its members. Text Evergreen is a concept to close the communication gap between your business and your customers and clients. You can offer a special without waiting for print ads to appear in a publication. Your business special can reach your target market immediately. The new member businesses were positive that they had made the right choice in investing in Evergreen. We have two new veterinary hospitals, Family Veterinary and Elk Meadow Veterinary,an energy audit company, Ayr Climate, Life Plan Now, Craig-Richards, Inc/promotional products, Psych Solutions, skin care, and the list goes on. It is a challenging time to be in business but it is also an exciting time.
