The row of cars simultaneously shifted to the right lane and made the sharp right onto the frontage road. Everyone maneuvered for positions, windows down, cell phones and cameras in hand. The people in the surrounding businesses were out with their phones and cameras. This is Evergreen, where daily routines come to a halt and we are silent for a herd of majestic elk.
